One underlying theme of all the students who have graduated… What they believed was “clear bad faith”, was nowhere close. Typically it boils down to one reason why. The insured, nor their representative, performed under the contract of insurance. Without full performance under that contract, by the insured, not the insurance carrier, bad faith will be very hard to obtain. Why we do not see all the “Bad Faith Verdicts”. The coverage was never triggered, and the carriers duties were limited to acknowledging, which the claim number does, and the BEGINNING of the investigation. Why the emphasis? The carrier cannot complete that investigation until the insured provides the contractually required performance accompanied with the correct documentation. That part, contrary to what we see, was never supposed to be done by the carrier… they are the ones who owe the money…

See you in Camp.

We are hunkered down in Florida and have been since Hurricane Ian. We have a wonderful facility that is larger than Galveston, remodeled with you, the student in mind. The next six camps, at least, will all be here, in the middle of the war zone. While we hit on Florida, hard… it is the same wherever you are, as long as you remember the process we teach is based entirely off that Tripod… You need all 3 legs to stand straight, to fend off attackers, and see the claim clearly.   We teach all of that, from starting the claim… to closing it out, regardless of what the carrier does, or does not do.   (We will also be adding additional specialty classes. Estimating, Demands/Complaints, Roof Speeds/Manufacture Identification, Doors/Windows)

We teach a diverse, national audience. What we attempt to teach spans that process and attempts to incorporate universal practices that are not central to any particular state, but a road map to any of them.

Students who have taken and successfully completed our course should be able to read and understand common policy language and conditions. This would include exclusions, endorsements, and claim filing procedures. After each 6-hour class day, there will be an additional 2 hours dedicated to the open discussion, and actual application, based off our collective knowledge in the field. This equivalates to 40 actual classroom hours, more than the required 24. Finally, if the student is not already licensed, that student should be able to schedule, take, and pass the exam provided by Pearson VUE, then be capable of performing their duties once a license is obtained. We look forward to helping insurance professionals maintain the highest standards possible, by raising those very standards.
